SureSmile has become my favorite of the major aligners. Lotta has to do with our rep. Our rep is absolutely fantastic. He is at our beck and call if we have a question, concern. Their support system, if you have a problem, I think is second to none. They are by far my favorite of the aligner systems out there. They don’t mess around with a lot of strange costs and strange add-ons, which then now you gotta explain to a patient there’s an add-on for this or an add-on for that. They kind of hit you with a flat feet till they’re done.
And one thing they really just implemented was, we touched upon earlier, that I think the hardest part of clear aligners is the maintenance. It’s not going through the process because the process you see change. And when you see change, it’s easy to stay motivated. Clear aligner, SureSmile has just implemented a program where they’ll stand behind their work for three years. So, let’s say you go through nine months of SureSmile, and then you get lazy and you don’t wear your retainer, or you lost your retainer, or your dog ate your retainer whatever it is they will stand behind it for three years they will let you rescan that patient and not charge them to redo the case for up to three years. No additional fees, no additional coverage. That’s huge. That’s confidence in your product and that just stands qualities for who they are.
But, again, SureSmile, again, and all clear retainers and look, and Invisalign is a great product. ClearCorrect is a great product. SureSmile has become my favorite. You get the immediate satisfaction of a pretty smile, the pretty smile you’ve always wanted, and you physically get to view that before you even start. The long-term is if you put teeth where they belong and where they’re supposed to be. Instead of teeth being misaligned and all day long there being interferences. When you get to be in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, when are you gonna have all these breaks, and cracks, and problems, and this and that, and TMJ issues because your teeth weren’t functioning as a unit. If you get teeth to function as a unit, you’re gonna have so many… The cleanings are gonna be easier, the chance of you breaking things are gonna be a lot less.
If you get things to function as a unit and you can maintain that, you’re just not gonna have anywhere near the problems. You know what, I always tell people, if you had a twin sister or a twin brother and you went through having straight teeth where they belong in the right position and they didn’t, well, who’s gonna be seeing me a lot more for the next 20 years? One whose teeth are out of line. So, I just explained that a lot to kids. I’m like, “You need to thank your parents not now. Not when you’re 15 and you got a great smile. You need to thank your parents when you’re 48 and your neighbors are going to the dentist for root canals, and crowns, and cracks, and this, that, and the other thing.” And you’re just sitting there like, “I just go every six months for cleanings,” because if you keep them in the right position, your odds are so much better of not having future issues.
